Testimonial Mladinska Knjiga, Slovenia
Since its foundation in 1945, Mladinska Knjiga has grown to become the largest publishing house in Slovenia. With around 60 retail book
stores in Slovenia, two major book clubs, the representation of Readers Digest in several countries and a growing e-commerce sale of books online, Mladinska Knjiga is a true multi-channel marketing company working with literally all possible in/outbound marketing channels to service their large customerbase. The company booked Michael Leander for an internal workshop in Ljubljana in May 2009.
Here is what director Matjaz Vracko said about the experience:

Director Matjaz Vracko
“When I started to organize a seminar on email marketing in the Mladinska knjiga Publishing house I was quite nervous. It’s always difficult preparing an internal seminar for a group of around 30 people … there are so many different expectations with people from different backgrounds, different countries, different work focus. I got in a contact with Michael Leander Nielsen, read his references but was still in a doubt - will the seminar be okay for our company? For my colleagues?
Michael Leander blew the audience away.
In the end it turned out just perfect for us. Michael Leander blew the audience away with his well prepared seminar, his great presentation skills and great real life examples - he did an exellent job for us. His knowledge of the email marketing and web marketing fields is really wide and deep. He showed a lot of professional competence, presentational skills and a great sense for humor. I recommend a seminar with Michael Leander to all marketers and companies who wants to maximize the benefits which internet and email-marketing can give to your company - as a part of the integrated marketing.
One of the greatest advantage of Michael’s seminar is that it can be “tailor made” for your needs/company. He really gives a lot of effort to understand the company and na
ture of your core business. You can feel all this during the seminar. So I was not surprised with the response we’ve got in the survey done after the seminar. Average score (scores from 1 to 5) for Michael Leander as a presenter was 4,72 (I don’t doubt his great sense for humor also influenced the high score.-) and average score for the content of the seminar was 4,36.
As a result of the seminar we got a lot of new practical ideas which we now have to implement in the Mladinska knjiga business and processes.”
Michael Leander’s comments to the workshop:
Working with a top notch professional marketer such as Matjaz Vrackowas a great pleasure and it was exciting to meet the marketing pro’s and top management of Mladinska.
The audience consisted of people from many different departments, some of which actually did not work in direct marketing. At first I thought; “this is a real challenge - how do I get people whom might not understand the marketing fundamentals to become engaged in relative hardcore direct marketing topics.?”
In hindsight I see that the decision by Mladinska Knjiga to involve IT, customer service departments was a brilliant one. You remember the question; “who is responsible for the customer experience?”, right? Well, at Mladinska Knjiga they fully understand the answer to this question and it was indeed a pleasure giving this workshop in Ljubljana”
