Michael Leander teaching internet marketing for businesses in Cyprus
“Maximizing your business using the internet“ is the name of a new 2-day internet marketing course organized by RJ Tulip. Also offered in Damascus in Syria and Cairo in Egypt, the course in Cyprus takes place October 29 to 30, 2009
Designed to provide delegates with a thorough introduction to internet marketing, the internet marketing course in Limassol, Cyprus covers a wide specter of topics relevant to individuals responsible for using the internet to attract new customers and servicing existing customers.
Michael Leander says “I am honored that the thoroughly professional team at RJTulip have chosen me to teach this course. And I am excited about teaching in Cyprus. Already at around 37%, the internet penetration in the island country is steadily growing and so will the internet marketing and interactive marketing industry. It is indeed an exciting time for marketers in the region.
Having taking an active part of interactive marketing since the early days in Northern Europe, I am looking very much forward to share knowledge which will enable marketers in the Cyprus approach internet marketing properly from the very beginning. Hopefully the online marketing course can help delegates achieve greater Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) with their internet marketing investments.”

Got something to say?
Interesting course!
As an internet marketeer and services provider operating in Cyprus, I agree the use of the internet here is becoming ubiquitous, but its use for real marketing and e-commerce is negligible.
There’s a number of infrastructure factors holding it back, and it won’t grow rapidly until they’re fixed. The pressure is mounting, but there’s a long way to go yet.
There are solutions, and we’ve implemented many of them for our clients.
Simple things like processing credit card payments and next day delivery that you’d think would be easy are in fact a challenge that can be overcome, but only with a lot of lateral thinking.
There are also a number of cultural issues that need to change - and that one will take time!
